This is really good! However, due to the excellent sketch, the texture in the colored version is a tad stiff.

Great work, wonderful textures.

Nice realism. Just the thing that bothers me is that the nose is a bit blurry and metallic thingies seems like it is placed over the cloth. Well, it is just my opinion, nonetheless it is still good.

I would like to see more of a defined brow ridge, he seems to have a rather flat forehead, and I think that would make him seem a bit more...male. Anyway, that's just a personal preference. Nice job, though! I'm a sucker for thick eyelashes on a guy... :)

I like the detail that you've put into this, such as the moss+mushrooms on the tree and the necklace.
I agree with ChelliChan that the forehead is very flat. I also think that the eyes, especially the left one, are unnaturally long/wide.
Great job over all :)

Great job on details but you have problems with the face. The two eyes are not symmetric.

i'm usually very happy to get constructive crits but there's a difference between technique and how people really look. Not how they look according to the book - i dont need to mention how they look there - but how people do look for real. Even by the technique my style is anime-ish and have always been.
Despite this little annoyance of mine - it's good to hear your thoughts, so thanks for sharing! :)

I think the shape of the eyes don't seem natural as they should. Besides, some specularity on the hair may be necessary, too.
Excellent painting anyway (thumbup) +8/9

Nice work repercutiratertutircutir. I like the sketch also

So what is the status on the book so far? Been to the site and I love that intro :)

This is nice, but I think that it has an overall flat look. The ear melts into the neck, and the nose seems to blend into the cheeks. The shape of the eyes is also slightly unnatural. Overall it's good work though, nice job.

This is very well done, good skin color and the eyes are awesome.
The hair is very good, but is a little bit too sharp around the foreheard, but very well done!
good work!

amazing work! i love how you use the colors. the only thing that bothers me about this is the wool. i feel it would've benefitted of some more detail. but that is minor. this has a great traditional feel to it, hats off to that!
and i dig the fact that he actually looks like a guy, lol, and not some chick with a beard
+10 well deserved!

This is slightly creepy, because he looks a bit like me! 8o
Only that I've got brown eyes and longer hair.
Good thing I'm unwashed and less lordly. :)

Oh by the way:
Very cool collar (am I using the right word again?) ! I think I just fucked my eyes staring at the greenish, little, hairthin fabric.
